The Art Of Kundan

The process of creating kundan pieces is as meticulous as it is beautiful. Skilled artisans, known as kundan Karigars, carefully tap pure gold foil into tiny anchor holes. Over many hours, they layer and compress the gold, allowing its natural malleability to fuse the layers together seamlessly. If observed closely, the fine anchor holes are visible, highlighting the craftsmanship involved. This method has been used for centuries not only in jewellery but also in royal ornaments, weapons, and even ceremonial drinking vessels, reflecting India’s deep-rooted understanding of luxury and attention to detail.

Tsavorite, vibrant and rare, is known as a stone of strength and vigour.

 The natural striking and rare tsavorite has been set into the hand carved rock crystal shank using ‘Kundan’ which is a traditional Indian setting technique which uses pure - 24k gold, skill and a lot of patience.
